The \u201cClos\u201d of Burgundy are, above all, the expression of a terroir \u2014 of soil, grape varieties (Pinot Noir and Sauvignon), and the craftsmanship of its winemakers.&#13;\n&#13;\n<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h4>A barrel 100% made in Burgundy<\/h4><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Defined by the stone walls that surround them, each &#8220;clos&#8221; \u2014 like the wines they produce \u2014 is unique.&#13;\nTonnellerie des Clos offers barrels with a strong Burgundian identity, crafted from staves sourced in forests located in Burgundy.&#13;\nThese forests yield slow-growing, tall-trunk oak trees with very fine grain \u2014 highly qualitative wood.&#13;\nThe staves are naturally seasoned outdoors for 20 to 24 months, allowing a gentle leaching of tannins under Burgundy\u2019s continental climate.&#13;\nMorning mists, annual rainfall, and warm summers give the wood optimal maturity.&#13;\nAt Tonnellerie des Clos, our philosophy is to support the most delicate wines through their aging, by listening closely to the needs of winemakers.<\/p>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><h4><strong>Honoring the fruit and the terroir<\/strong><\/h4><\/h4>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The barrels are crafted in the traditional way in our Burgundian workshops, by experienced coopers who master every gesture required in the making of a fine barrel.&#13;\nRespecting the identity of each wine, while enhancing its intrinsic qualities through unique expertise, is our top priority.&#13;\nWe offer tailor-made solutions, guiding winemakers in the choice of barrels, volumes, and toasting levels best suited to their needs.&#13;\nTonnellerie des Clos barrels bring volume, silky textures, and refined structure.
